OHLA is developing the design, construction, maintenance and operation of the infrastructure and facilities, as well as the supply and installation of medical equipment and its maintenance, of four hospitals (Santa Barbara, Nacimiento, Coronel and Lota) in the Biobío region for the Chilean Ministry of Public Works (MOP). Together, the four hospitals, with a total surface area of approximately 135,000 m2, will provide 569 beds to the health system and will benefit a population of more than 400,000 people.
The investment in the project will be worth approximately 400 million euros over the next 19 years, with a construction period of approximately 4 years and a maintenance period of 15 years. Project income derives from availability payments to be made by the MOP.
