01In the Lund-Arlöv project (Malmö), Sweden, we have been pioneers in the transfer and reuse of material from one construction site to another, the reuse of about 20 km of rails, in sections of 180 m in length each, and in the use of 12,500 concrete sleepers that will prevent the emission of nearly 2,200 tons of CO2 into the atmosphere. These materials come from the improvement works on the line between Lund and Arlöv, one of the busiest railway routes in Sweden, which we execute together with NCC for Trafikverket (Swedish Transport Administration). The materials recovered in the dismantling, the first of this magnitude in the country, will be used for projects such as the Halland section in southern Sweden.
