OHLA has been awarded the 2023 concession contract for the construction, maintenance and operation of the National Cancer Institute in Santiago de Chile, which will involve an investment of more than 300 million euros.
The project includes the integral development of designs, execution of associated civil works, integral implementation of clinical, administrative and industrial equipment, as well as the operation of the infrastructure’s Basic and Special Mandatory Services.
The new National Cancer Institute will serve an estimated population of 11.6 million people over 15 years of age and will have 86,000 m2 and 249 beds. The infrastructure will be equipped with high-tech equipment in the oncology field, including eight linear accelerators. Project revenues are derived from availability payments to be made by the Ministry of Public Works.
