Desarrollos acquired, at the end of 2014, the historic Old War Office in London in consortium with the Hinduja Group.
This building, of extraordinary historical value and heritage, is being converted to house a hotel of the Raffles chain of the highest level, with 125 rooms and 85 Raffles branded residences.
The building is located in the historical centre of London, at number 57 Whitehall, very near Buckingham Palace and the House of Commons, Westminster Abbey, Downing Street and the most important institutional headquarters of the United Kingdom. It has special symbolism due to having been the headquarters of the War Ministry and centre of operations of Sir Winston Churchill during the Second World War.
From the architectonic point of view, it must be highlighted that it deals with a building in the Edwardian style, with 70,600 m2 of surface area, distributed over 7 floors, including 2 underground floors.
