Hydraulic and environmental zoning of the Avilés Ria, on a 1.9 km section that connects the San Sebastián and Hospitalillo bridges. The initiative, granted to OHL by the Principality of Asturias Ministry of Environment, Territory Zoning and Infrastructures involves, among other actions, channeling with breakwaters, dredging the Ria and treating the contaminated slurry, and building a diversion dam to maintain a permanent sheet of water over the ria bed, throughout this section.

Benefits for the community

Regeneration of a space in line with the most outstanding environmental standards. Reconversion of a recreational space that, prior to this work, was intended for discharge and industrial waste.
