The #CEOforDiversity Alliance, an initiative in which OHLA is present, holds its annual meeting

March 3, 2022

The #CEOforDiversity Alliance, in which OHLA has participated since its inception, has held its second annual meeting. Led by the Adecco Foundation and the CEOE Foundation, it currently brings together 75 CEOs from large Spanish companies from different sectors. Among its main objectives is the implementation of a common strategy that contributes to business excellence, the competitiveness of talent and the reduction of inequality and exclusion in Spanish society.

This year’s meeting focused on three major challenges for companies in the 21st century: cultural diversity, women’s equality and mental health. Executives focused on values as the key to boosting business competitiveness and social cohesion. All agreed that the pandemic has forever changed the business paradigm, making traditional elements such as hierarchy or control give way to the consolidation of values based on collaboration, the common good or horizontality.

Inclusive leadership has also been at the center of the debate. In the opinion of the CEOs, it is a key element for business competitiveness and social cohesion in the post-pandemic era, marked by uncertainty.

OHLA, committed to equality and inclusion

OHLA’s commitment to diversity and equality is embodied in various policies and standards. It is worth highlighting the recent publication of its III Equality Plan, applicable to the companies of the OHLA Group, except for Services, which has its own Plan.

The new Plan guarantees, among other measures, that selection processes comply with the principle of equal treatment and opportunities based on objective criteria, without direct or indirect discrimination. It also aims to guarantee the co-responsible exercise of work-life balance rights and improve legal measures to facilitate the reconciliation of personal, family and work life for employees of the Group’s companies.

Furthermore, the commitment to the integration of socially vulnerable groups – mainly people with different abilities, victims of gender violence or people at risk or in a situation of social exclusion – is another of the company’s priority lines of action.
