September 25, 2020
Coinciding with the International Tourism Day to be held on September 27th and as part of the City’s Acknowledgement to Madrid’s Tourism awarded by the City Council, the Four Seasons Hotel has been recognized as a Project of special tourist interest for Madrid. This distinction highlights the good practices of Madrid’s tourism while underlining the work done by OHL in the recovery of the Centro Canalejas Madrid (CCM), a set of seven historic buildings, transformed into an exclusive and unique space that can be enjoyed by Madrid residents and visitors and has served to revitalize the city center as a tourist and commercial destination.
The awards ceremony, held this Friday in Madrid, was attended by José Luis Martínez-Almeida, the city’s mayor, who was responsible for presenting the awards. OHL has been represented in turn by José Antonio Fernández Gallar, CEO of the company and the person responsible for collecting the award.
The Four Seasons Hotel, the first hotel belonging to the Canadian chain in Spain, takes up the central floors of CCM and is equipped with 200 rooms ranging from 45 m2 to 400 m2. The common areas are distributed over more than 4,200 m2 and house, among other facilities, several event rooms and a spa equipped with a wellness center and heated pool. The hotel also has a large lobby and two restaurants, one of which is run by three-Michelin-starred chef Dani García and is located on the seventh floor of the building, from where you can enjoy the breath-taking views of the city.
It will also serve the 22 premium apartments located between the fifth and eighth floors. It should be noted that the commissioning of the hotel will create approximately 250 jobs.
