The Group returns to Portugal at the hands of OHL Environmental Inima
January 12, 2010
Portugal, where Obrascon carried out their first foregin project in 1912, returns to OHL’s international map. It’s at the hands of OHL Environmental Inima that the Group returns there. They will be working in Portugal on the construction and operation for two years of the Ponte de Baia wastewater treatment plant, between Oporto and Braga ( WWTP).
Aguas do Ave, of the Aguas do Portugal Group, awarded the plant to the JV with 50 % made up by Inima and the other 50 % by the Portuguese construction company Casais-Engenharia e Construção, a recognised family company based in Braga with international activity in Morocco, Angola, Belguim, Germany and Russia, amoung other countries.
The budget for the WWTP is 10.66 million euros. The plant will manage an average daily flow of 6,384 m3/day and the equivalent of 45,127 inhabitants. The water treatment is carried out using a carousel-type biological process, with pre-denitrification and a line of sludge with anaerobic digestion and cogeneration.
Crispijana WWTP (Alava)
OHL Environmental Inima, with 34 %, will also lead the JV to which the Regional Vitorian Waters Company (Amvisa) has awarded the operation, maintenance and preservation contract for six years at the Crispijana WWTP with a budget of 20.30 million euros. It’s a plant with an average flow of 120,000 m3/day, with biological treatment using activated sludge and dehydration with filters.
