The OHL Group participates in several solidarity campaigns in Canada
November 13, 2015
Our work colleagues at OHL Group in Canada have participated in The Enbridge Ride to Conquer Cancer arranged by the Jewish General Hospital in Montreal (Canada), in order to gather funds for research programs launched by the Segal Cancer Centre in the Jewish General Hospital in Montreal and other hospitals in the province of Quebec.
For the fourth consecutive year, it has joined this bicycle ride covering 250 kilometers in the province of Québec to promote awareness on the fight against cancer and to collect funds. Since 2012, more than 180,000 euros -206,000 dollars- have been collected, to finance various cancer research and prevention projects, such as tumoral evaluation through functional and molecular imaging techniques and the development of more accurate biomarkers to detect the illness.
Other solidarity campaigns in Canada
In addition to this fight against cancer, OHL Canada has joined the charitable entity Hockey Help the Homeless, to support the homeless in Montreal through sports events to gather funds with the active participation of retired professional players.
The OHL Group, present in more than 30 countries all over the world, is firmly committed to the local community where it operates, particularly in those countries where it is permanently active, in order to encourage economic and social progress and improve the quality of life by promoting various social action, sponsorship and patronage projects.
