The OHL Group Sums Up Close to 600 jobs among Groups at Risk of Social Exclusion
June 10, 2016
OHL sums up nearly 15 years working to achieve the labor market integration of groups in a situation or at risk of social exclusion. This effort has translated into the conclusion of close to 600 employment contracts, primarily through its subsidiary OHL Servicios-Ingesan, specialized in facilities management.
The main groups benefited include people with disabilities, victims of gender violence, people at risk of social exclusion, women victims of prostitution, ex-convicts, victims of drugs, people over 45 and over 60 and members of the Roma ethnic group, among others.
At the present time, the OHL Group has collaboration agreements in place in Spain with entities such as Fundación Integra, Fundación Adecco, Fundación Randstad, Fundación Síndrome de Down Madrid and the Spanish Red Cross, to give impetus to its inclusion policy and to facilitate labor market integration.
An outstanding development among the actions taken to promote labor market integration was the agreement signed in 2002 between OHL and Fundación Integra, where the Group is a member of the Board of Trustees. Specifically, the OHL Group, working together with Integra, maintains a labor market integration plan that has translated into close to 400 employment contracts.
The collaboration with Fundación Adecco, starting in 2009, has placed close to 150 people in jobs in the cleaning, home help services and facilities maintenance areas, while the agreement with Fundación Randstad has led to around twenty placements that have benefited people with a disability greater than or equal to 33 %, people in a situation of social exclusion and women victims of gender violence.
In addition to these agreements, the Group cooperates with Down Madrid in a number of volunteering and labor market integration programs that have paved the way for the integration of people belonging to this association into the Group’s workforce.
The Spanish Red Cross and the Fundación Secretariado Gitano are organizations with which OHL has initiated volunteering work to further vocational education, with a view to preparing people at risk of exclusion for their successful integration into the labor market.
The commitment of the OHL Group to full social integration through integration into the working world is included in the CSR Plan 2015-2020 for promoting access to employment programs, aimed at people with difficulties for becoming fully integrated into society and for whom the obtaining of stable, quality work signifies one of the most important steps forward in the direction of their true integration into society.
OHL has collaboration agreement with Fundación Integra since 2002.
