Elsan advances in the construction works of the largest service station of the DISA Group, located in L’Empordà

Elsan, an OHLA subsidiary specializing in road pavements and comprehensive engineering of service stations, is making progress in the construction of what will be the largest station of Grupo DISA, an integrated energy supplier and the first independent operator of service stations and licensee of Shell in Spain, for which Elsan has been working since 2004. Precisely within the framework of this project, with a contract value of close to three million euros and located in L’Empordà (Cataluña), the OHLA subsidiary has recently completed the stage focused on the execution of walls, esplanade and tank pit, crowned with the installation of six tanks.
It should be noted that the service station, intended for trucks, stands on a 20,100 m2 plot of land and has a 187 m2 building with a payment point, a warehouse and a toilet and shower area for hauliers. As regards fuel supply, it will have ten islands with multi-product pumps under a 503 m2 canopy, and the six tanks will have diesel, ad blue, diesel B and gasoline 95.
The station is completed with a fenced, high-security parking area with access control for trucks, equipped with an electric refueling station and a pre-installation for NGV (natural gas vehicles from LNG).
Three decades of experience
Elsan has more than 30 years of experience working with various oil companies in the field of construction and maintenance of their facilities throughout the country. For them, Elsan has developed projects for the refurbishment of old facilities, and reconversion, according to new quality and safety standards within their service stations, new implementations in washing and restoration areas within the service station itself, as well as the implementation, at present, of new electric recharging points.
