The high-speed line access to Galicia, an ADIF (Spanish Railway Infrastructure Administrator) project in whose construction OHLA has participated, has been awarded in the XII edition of the San Telmo awards, granted by the Association of Civil Engineers of Galicia, as the best civil engineering work executed in Galicia between 2020 and 2021. In the section carried out by the company, tit is worth mentioning he construction of the Espiño tunnel for the left track, 7,909 meters long, which runs through the municipality of A Gudiña, between km 207+240.086 and 215+150.000. The infrastructure, designed to allow trains to travel at speeds of up to 350 km/h, includes half of each of the connection galleries and the platform of the west end of the Porta de Galicia Station.

The jury responsible for choosing this project as the winner of this edition of the San Telmo Awards highlighted the social function of the project and its environmental integration, variables that influence an improvement in the quality of life of the inhabitants due to its excellence in construction in accordance with technical, territorial and constructive quality criteria.
