Ingesan: more than 15 years of commitment in favor of equality and diversity

December 14, 2023

Integra Foundation awards Ingesan's work in favor of integration.

Ingesan, the leading subsidiary of OHLA’s Services line, has accumulated more than 15 years of activity in the facilities management sector, focusing on people and their well-being and carrying out initiatives that favor the generation of opportunities aimed at achieving social equality and promoting diversity.

To achieve this, the company, which works in the areas of cleaning, maintenance, and energy efficiency of buildings, personal care and urban services, relies on tools that are considered strategic, such as the Third Equality Plan, which is an ad hoc plan that replaces two previous ones, the first of which was launched in 2012.

The current plan has been agreed at State level with the most representative trade unions in the company’s different sectors of activity and is registered in the Registry of Collective Agreements, Labour Contracts and Equality Plans (REGCON), with high requirements in terms of equality and non-discrimination, all in line with the UN, its Sustainable Development Goals and the 2030 Agenda.

Best WorkPlaces 2023

The company has also implemented measures in favor of the well-being of its employees that have earned it recognition as one of the ten best companies to work for in Chile, according to the Best WorkPlaces 2023 ranking carried out by Computrabajo, one of the main employment portals in Latin America, which has taken more than 10,000 companies as a reference.

Outstanding recognitions

Ingesan also relies on the opportunities offered by technology when developing its activity. It seeks to generate attractive work environments for employees, in a collaborative and responsible environment. For this reason, it has been awarded by Forética, a leading business organization in the field of sustainability in Spain, within the framework of the JOBS 2030 – Future of Work project for its “Managing Transformation” initiative. In addition, it has been awarded the Family Responsible Company (EFR) certification, granted by the Másfamilia Foundation, a seal of quality that recognizes companies that incorporate a management system that allows a balance between work and personal life.

Its commitment to equality is also reflected in its collaboration in actions and activities promoted by the Inspiring Girls Foundation -a movement originated in England in 2013-, which seeks to achieve the empowerment of girls and adolescents through activities that connect the academic field with the business world and the indispensable role of women.

Likewise, for almost two decades, the company has been working with various organizations to promote a fairer society by creating employment opportunities for groups at risk of social exclusion. Some of these organizations have awarded Ingesan for this work, such as the Fundació Intermedia or Obra Social La Caixa, the Integra Foundation or the Red Cross. The company has also been awarded the Làbora label by the city of Barcelona.

Ingesan is also committed to a society free of gender violence by joining the Network of Companies for a Society Free of Gender Violence, promoted by the Ministry of Equality, and by complying with the United Nations Global Compact on Corporate Social Responsibility, implementing its ten principles based on human, labor, environmental and anti-corruption rights.
