OHL, rewarded for its community projects

The OHL Group has gathered additional recognition of its community work, to include the reward granted further to its ten-year anniversary, by the Global Compact Spanish Network, based on its membership as founding partner. OHL is committed to upholding and promoting human rights and, since 2004, has publicly declared its support of initiatives and guidelines applied by leading international organizations in the matter, such as the United Nations Global Compact.

Furthermore, the Spanish Red Cross has rewarded the OHL Group, as a Collaborating Company, during an event to celebrate the company’s 150-year career.
In education, OHL Concesiones, through its Autopista del Norte subsidiary, has been recognized by the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Peru for its promotion of a project aimed at children and adolescents. This initiative is built around two cornerstones: value creation of archaeological wealth and the strengthening of civic awareness in road safety matters.

OHL Services, through its facilities management subsidiary, Ingesan, has received the Special Mention in Human Resources, granted by the Integra Foundation to Alfonso Navarro, the area’s technician. In turn, Obra Social La Caixa has granted the Incorpora Prize for medium-sized companies. Both prizes highlight the commitment of the Group’s division to social acceptance of the handicapped or persons at a current or potential risk of social exclusion.
Volunteership.

In turn, Voluntarios OHL Desarrollos-Mayakoba (Mexico) has been recognized by DIF Solidaridad (Sistema para el Desarrollo Integral de la Familia) [System for Comprehensive Family Development] for its work in favor of the community. This distinction coincides with its foundation’s first anniversary. 

Community value creation is a priority for the OHL Group and is articulated through the Framework Social Action Plan launched by  OHL’s General Corporate Management.
