August 6, 2018

OHL, through its affiliate OHL ZS Slovakia, has been awarded in JV the construction of a soccer stadium in Košice (Slovakia) for 19 million euros. The project has been awarded by Košická futbalová aréna. The new stadium will have a capacity for close to 13,000 spectators.

The construction of the soccer stadium will be divided into three stages. The first stage will consist in the execution of the playing field, stands and operative blocks with the necessary equipment to comply with the conditions of the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA). The second stage will include the building of the stands, north and south; and the third stage, two training camps and locker rooms.

OHL has extensive experience in the construction and remodeling of sports facilities, which started in 1935 with the Frontón Recoletos in Madrid. Also outstanding are the actions performed in the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium, the Real Madrid Sports City or the remodeling of the Nou Camp in Barcelona.  All of them are added to the construction of a municipal soccer stadium in the Polish city of Białystok or the Villa El Salvador Sports center for the Panamerican Games which will be held in Lima (Peru) next year.
