2309 Línea D del Metro de Praga OHLA
OHLA ŽS has participated in projects such as the Střížkov Metro station also in Prague.

OHLA, through its subsidiary OHLA  ŽS, will participate in the execution of the first stage of the new line D of Prague Metro. The project called I.D1a includes 2 stations (Pankrác and Olbrachtova) and their connecting section, followed by a stage I.D1b with 3 stations (Nádraží Krč, Nemocnice Krč and Nové Dvory). The total value of the first stage of the new “line D” of Prague Metro is 573 million EUR (13,75 billion CZK).

The new line “D’, the blue one, will long 10,6 kms, 10 stations and a new train depot. Estimated cost will probably exceed 4 billion EUR and the new line should be opened to public in Fall of 2029, operated by automated driverless trains.

The first section, in which OHLA ŽS will be involved, connecting Pankrác and Olbrachtova stations will be the most technically demanding. In the complex geological conditions of the so-called Pankrác Terrace, a single-level embedded transfer station Pankrác will be built under the existing C line, approximately 33 meters below the surface. The two-node station Olbrachtova will be located at a depth of 31 meters. Both stations and the 1.2-kilometre-long tunnel section will be mined according to the principles of the New Austrian Tunnelling Method, i.e. by drilling and blasting.

A benchmark in railway works

OHLA is a global benchmark in the execution of railway works in its three geographical areas of reference: the U.S., Latin America and Europe. With the execution of this new infrastructure in Prague the company, which is already the largest contractor for the Stockholm metro, is promoting its commitment to sustainable mobility.
