Ports

The completion of two projects back in 1912 – La Darsena de Alcantara and the West Wharf of the Port of Los Santos in Lisbon, Portugal – market the beginning of our construction operations. Since then, we have participated in close to 600 maritime projects, majorly through a collaborative effort with our specialized subsidiary SATO.

Spain

This activity includes the construction of over 35 km of sea walls, nearly 30 km of docks, and over 1,000 concrete caissons, as well as by the placement of 20 million of cubic meters of concrete in boxes, blocks and superstructures, the completion more than 60 million m3 of dredging and the placement of over 40 million m3 of fill.

Likewise, we have developed internationally-recognized innovations for construction of dams, helping to reduce environmental impacts while optimizing construction costs. Some examples of these innovations are the Cubipod and the SATOGrab clamp.

Among the projects delivered in Spain, the construction of the new outer port of A Coruña (Langosteira port facilities) the port of Granadilla in Tenerife, and the expansions of the ports of Alicante, Algeciras and Gijón stand out as signature endeavors.
