OHL’s Sustainability Committee has reviewed the Group’s Social Action Framework Plan and has approved the general lines of its 2012-2015 Action Plan for Spain.

As a result of updating the Framework Plan, we have adjusted our criteria to execute the measures foreseen in the Group’s social action plans. Amongst the most relevant changes in this regard is the incorporation of OHL’s Code of Ethics as one of these criteria, as well as an active commitment with communities for which there are long-term plans. Likewise, the participation and supervision of various social action plans by country or line of business and established channels for communication and dialogue with local communities and NGOs.

As regards the 2012-2015 Social Action Plan in Spain, the measures approved by the Committee affect both the external plan (directed at social surroundings) and internal plan (directed at OHL’s team). In the first case, the novelties focus on a greater use of social networks and participation in work groups, the implementation of new channels for social dialogue and the boosting of OHL’s Voluntary Workers website in order to strengthen its image.
In turn, within the scope of the internal plan, our improvements with respect to the 2009-2011 plan cover support to lines of business in order to execute plans related to disabled employees and compliance with the law, creating teams in other countries and boosting communication and dialogue between all of the Group’s volunteer workers worldwide through a private section of the Volunteer Workers website and its translation into various languages.
